June 1st

- Trade session re opens for 2 weeks (June 15th at 11:59PM ET)

- You can buy out players at preferential rates (33% / 66% - see league’s rules) till June 30th, Send us a email. Other months of the year buyout rate is 100%.  Buyouts count toward salary cap.

Salary cap for next season is still not determined, should be between $68 to $70 M, we should have a specific amount on this by July 1st.

- Last chance to sign your RFA/UFA (June 15th is the last day- 11:59 PM ET) To keep your rights on your RFA(s), you need to submit at least one contract offer by June 15th, if you don’t, He/they will be become UFA(s).

Note: careful with you contract offers. Signing bonus will count toward your salary cap. Too many No Trade clauses can tie your hands (Player might accepted to traded after half of the season to specific teams only). You are responsible for all the years on the contract even if a player retires or leave for another league.

JUNE 16th to JUNE 30th

Re rates, new contracts will be applied, you will have to;

- Go over your players, check new rates and report any obvious errors.

- Go over the unrestricted players list (Transactions/Unrestricted Free Agents) and MAKE SURE ONE OR MORE OF YOUR PLAYER(S)/Prospects ARE NOT IN THE LIST, if it’s the case, report it. Several leagues use the same rerates file, so it happens that players’ names can be spelled differently and when it’s the case 2 different players are created (example; Washington has Alex Ovechkin, rerates file might have him as Alexander Ovechkin, then we would have 2 Ovechkins, one with Washington and one in the UFA database, you are responsible to report your players found in the UFA database.

- Go over the unrestricted players list (Transactions/Unrestricted Free Agents) and look for your prospects and claim them, IF YOU DON’T YOU MIGHT LOSE HIM/THEM, it’s your responsibility. After claiming them, you can ask the league (or not) to deactivate those who haven’t played 10 NHL games last year and leave them as prospects. Usually if you don't claim one of your player and somebody else signs him you have till December first to claim him (and pay $2 m), but if one of your player wasn't claimed, he signs with another team and then get traded, you have lost him for good even if this is before December 1st.

This above is REALLY IMPORTANT, if you don’t do it you might lose some good players.

- No Signature, No Trade.

Will hopefully find out soon what's going out with the Coyotes and the Senators, I hate kicking out GMs who have been with us since the beginning but I can't justify to keep them when they're not showing or getting their emails from the account they have with us.  Hawks' GM is officially kicked out.  If you know any good candidate WITH STHS EXPERIENCE you can ask them to contact me and we'll talk.  Here again, we don't accept people sharing the same IP address for obvious reasons, this is monitored all year long... sorry.

Starting June 1st, We expect you guys to answer all your messages within 48 hours again.  New portal doesn't always show when you have a new message.  Usually, when you receive a message from a GM, his team/name should be a the top of the list in your messages, that doesn't work for all the teams.  For some teams they'll stay at the bottom of the list not even showing the first words of the message right next to it (like you can usually see)  We'll try to fix this but for now, once in a while, go through all the teams to verify if you have messages.

Please read this email carefully and save it for later. I know it's a long one, but it has everything we have on our plate this summer... and it starts today.

Hey All!

New rates are loaded on the portal!

From Today to July 12th (Saturday evening) you will have to do the following;

Go over your players, check new rates and report any obvious errors by replying to this email (players rated "22" by mistake, players who should be rated way higher (asking for a revision for obvious mistakes, not to get 1 or 2 more OV), prospect with 10 AHL/NHL games not activated, etc)

- Go over the unrestricted players list (Transactions/Unrestricted Free Agents) and MAKE SURE ONE OR MORE OF YOUR PLAYER(S) ARE NOT IN THE LIST, if it’s the case, REPORT IT. Also the contract extension might not be applied to a player, so he would be in the UFA list, report this as well.

Check carefully for your prospects as well, sometimes names a spelled differently, for example Matt Dumba (Matthiew Dumba).

IF THIS IS NOT DONE BY JULY 12TH, YOU LOSE YOUR TEAM ... PLAIN AND SAMPLE. Sorry but if you don't do this, you just don't care, so you don't belong here ;-)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

- For those who need one or 2 coach(es), you can start bidding on coaches on July 9th (Transactions/coaches). (max $2 mils per season, offers over $2 millions will be deleted and you won't be able to make an offer to the same coach).

- Trades re open July 14th (Sunday evening midnight ET). Until the draft at the end of the month, you can trade all picks in the next 2 years, after the draft we fall back to the other rule.

- UFA/RFA market and contract extensions open July 15 (Monday evening midnight ET)

UFA (Transactions/unrestricted free agents) and RFA (Transactions/ Restricted Free Agents)players (scroll to the bottom to see goaltenders).

When you go check UFA and RFA, its possible certain players already got an offer, click the second tab (UFAs/RFAs with Offers) 24 hours after the first offer made to a player, you won't be allowed to make an offer so act fast, the player will select the best 3 offers and move to the deciding section (3rd tab) for another 24 hours. If you are among the 3 finalists, you can still edit your offer. Portal will select between offers, 70% for the best offer, 30% for the second one and 10% for the least best offer.

Remember, all contracts of 2$ mil + per season, players can't be sent to the minors, NHL only.

If you make an offer to a RFA, you need to have the picks accordingly to the chart as a compensation in case his former team does not match your offer.

$1,110 000 or below - None
Over $1,110 000 to $1,700 000 - Third-round choice
Over $1,700 000 to $3,350 000 - Second-round choice
Over $3,350 000 to $5,050 000 - First-round and third-round choice
Over $5,050 000 to $6,700 000 - First-round, second-round and third round choice
Over $6,700 000 to $8,400 000 - Two first-round choices, one second- and
one third round choices
Over $8,400 000 - Four 1st round picks

so for example, if you make an offer of $4 million per season to a RFA, you will need one 1st round pick and one 3rd pick in the next 2 draft years. The team owning the player will have 2 (two) days to match the offer. The team acquiring the player will decide what picks are being sent to the other team in case they have several picks available in a specific round.

NOTE 1: Team owning RFA players (who are testing the market on July 15th) can NOT trade them unless they match the offers these players will receive.

NOTE 2: As we speak, portal shows ALL the UFA/RFA under the UFA section. We might have to do it that way. If it's the case all player 27 yo or less and still link to a team are RFAs. For example, if you look at Cody Franson, he's 27 yo or less and when you click on him, it shows he's with the Wild, so he's a RFA.

Remember, if you acquire a UFA player via a transaction, you'll only have 2 attempts to sign him, not 3.

- You can still buy out contracts but at a full rate (100%).

- You can submit position change by emailing me with the link where we can see the player assigned at that position (it has to be one of the link we have in the league's rules).

----------------

Financial system is still on this season, this is easy money. Team's financial situations is way better now in the league so we will change the finance settings so it's generating less money, that way money received through your participation will still be very important.

-------

-Regular season: submit roster/line up at least once a week (between Sunday 7 PM ET and the
next one): $ 300k (season’s potential: $8.1 M).
-Submit in time team’s awards at the end of the season: $500k
-Vote for the All Star game: $1 M.
-Vote for the league’s awards at the end of the season - $1.5 M.
-Submitting an article on the portal (French or English): $400k. Real article, 2-3 lines won’t
make it ;-). The league pays a maximum of 2 articles per month, up to a maximum of 7 for the
year. (This starts in October only)

----------

Get ready for the draft and pre-season, remember you need enough players; goaltenders, RW, LW, C and D to form 2 teams... so make sure you have enough players for each positions. You can't build a team with players rated "22", they can be used as spares when you have too many injuries but it should be exceptional. Strongly strongly suggest you have at least 5 goaltenders. If you only have 4, and simming is blocked because one of them is injured and you only have 3, you'll be fined as explained in the rules.

Some teams have less then 35 players right now and are below $35 M on their salary cap, remember the floor is $51M this year. I'm not gonna babysit these GMs this summer, they need to be ready for the preseason with full line up and complying to the salary cap rules.

Salary cap is $69M in 2014-15, before the pre season, you can go up to $75.9 M (10% over).

Remember buy outs and bonus signatures count toward your salary cap. In the next few days, I'll add/update these numbers on your team finance page. I'll also add soon all the bonus $$$ you earned last year for your participation.

Draft
Monday July 28th - 7 PM ET - Rounds 1 and 2
Tuesday July 29th - 7 PM ET - Rounds 3-4-5.

DRAFT IS MANDATORY, you have to be present, or send a list to the league or prepare your list on the draft page.

GMs who have draft picks and who won’t be present to the draft and won’t take dispositions for
the draft (create list, ask somebody else to take care of it for them) will be fined.
First evening (rounds 1 and 2) - $4 M
Second evening (rounds 3-4-5) - $3 M
Of course, a GM who doesn’t have any pick left doesn’t have to show up at the draft.

Members of the trade committee: Paul (Buf), Steeve (Det), Matt (Ducks), Mike (Tor) and Pascal (NYR)

6 teams are currently under the trade committee supervision; NJ, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Nashville, Winnipeg and Minnesota. The trade committee is there to protect GMs and their team so they don't destroy their future and /or giving valued assets for doubtful prospects/picks/career Ahlers..etc

all signatures, buyouts, declined trades, players on waivers, position changes, etc on www.simm.fra.co. You will also found some good post with helpful tips.

Things we will do differently.
- From now on, a player who rejected all contract offers will automatically becomes UFA on July 1st (he'll still provide a list where he would accept to be traded because that's how the portal is made, but no matter what, they will become UFA and if traded to another team, any extension contract signature would be declined)

- It will cost more to resign players, we will change the % given when you submit offers to your players.

With those 2 modifications we expect to have way more interesting players on the UFA market every year and it'll easier for teams to rebuild.

- The league might decline trades even for teams who are not under the trade committee supervision, especially teams who did benefit from the special draft this summer. We released players to help them this summer and several GMs were not pleased with this, so there's no way we gonna just let them make stupid trades.

- we will sim with the 1.5 version this year.

-----------------------
We now expect you guys to be back full time, we didn't really care in June, but now we are back in business, reply to ALL MESSAGES within 48 hours! Non active GMs will be replaced.

You don't have to put your everyday email address in the sim client, but make sure I do have it in case we need to reach you. If we just can't contact you, even during summer time, we might just lose your team.

Would be a good idea to over the league's rules again...

Too much stuff to remember for this email, I probably forgot something, so you can expect more emails ;-)

Email me with any questions you may have,

Please read this email carefully and save it for later. I know it's a long one, but it has everything we have on our plate this summer... and it starts now.

There's still several GMs who haven't claimed their players/prospects from the UNASSIGNED list on the portal, if you don't they will become available for all other GMs to bid on on July 1st, so act now! Also go through all of your players rated 24-25-26 and verifiy if they have played 10 or more games in the AHL/NHL last year, if that's the case, report them as well by answering this email. You need enough players for both team NHL/AHL and players rated 24-25-26 can only be used when you have injured players.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Trades re open July 1st (Tuesday evening midnight ET). Until the draft at the end of the month, you can trade all picks in the next 2 years, after the draft we fall back to the other rule.

- UFA/RFA market and contract extensions open July 1st (Tuesday evening midnight ET)

Portal will select between offers, 60% for the best offer, 30% for the second one and 10% for the least best offer. So if you wait until Wednesday evening midnight before placing bids on the players you want, it might be too late already, every year, all good UFAs/RFAs get offer at midnight when it opens.

Remember, all contracts of 2$ mil + per season, players can't be sent to the minors, NHL only (Next year it goes down to $1,5 M).

Maximum amount of players: 25 in Pro, 30 in AHL

If you make an offer to a RFA, you need to have the picks accordingly to the chart as a compensation in case his former team does not match your offer.

AVERAGE ANNUAL VALUE COMPENSATION
Less than $1,205,377 Nothing
$1,205,377-to-$1,826,328 Third-round pick
$1,826,328-to-$3,652,659 Second-round pick
$3,652,659-to-$5,478,986 First and third-round picks
$5,478,986-to-$7,305,316 First, second and third-round picks
$7,305,316-to-$9,131,645 Two firsts, a second and third-round picks
$9,131,645 or greater Four first-round picks

so for example, if you make an offer of $4 million per season to a RFA, you will need one 1st round pick and one 3rd pick in the next 2 draft years. The team owning the player will have 2 (two) days to match the offer. The team acquiring the player will decide what picks are being sent to the other team in case they have several picks available in a specific round.

NOTE 1: Team owning RFA players (who are testing the market on July 1st) can NOT trade them unless they match the offers these players will receive. You can NOT make offers to your own RFAs until July 16th. After July 20th, all RFAs who haven't received an offer will become UFA.

NOTE 2: Several RFAs are under the UFA section
Andrew miller - Wild
Andy Miele - Penguins
Brett Bellemore - Mtl
Claude Giroux - Bruins
Dale Weise - Coyotes
Denny Urban - Jets
Evan Oberg - Buffalo
Jack Combs - TB
James Sheppard - Leafs
jamie McBain - Flames
Matt Bartkowski - Anaheim
Matthew Corrente - Leafs
Michael Frolik - Wild
Patrick Maroon - Columbus
Paul Carey - NJ
Ryan White - Van
Spencer Abbott - Mtl
TJ Galiardi - Florida
Vladimir Zharkov - Wild
Will O'Neill - Van
Zach Hamill - Wash
Zach Redmond - Kings
Atte Engren - Edmonton
Joni Ortio - Wild

Remember, if you acquire a UFA player via a transaction, you'll only have 2 attempts to sign him, not 3. If a player is on his last contract year and rejects all the offers, he becomes automatically UFA on July 1st 2016. He can still be traded but his new team won't be allowed to sign him even if the portal gives you the option to do so. He becomes a rental for the playoffs. UFA rights can not be traded after the trade deadline.

- You can still buy out contracts but at a full rate (100%).

- You can submit position change by emailing me with the link where we can see the player assigned at that position (it has to be one of the link we have in the league's rules).

Salary cap is expect to be something around $71.4M in 2015-16, during the off season, you can go up to $80 M . You will also need to be over the salary floor by the beginning of the season which should be around $53M.

Remember buy outs and bonus signatures count toward your salary cap. In the next few days, I'll add/update these numbers on your team finance page.

New Rates for season 2016-17are on the portal!

As you can see, now goaltenders are rated the same as the players, best skaters and goaltenders will be rated around 80. You can send an email to revise rate of a specific player(s), but as explained several times, OV doesn't mean much as it's based on a formula that change for different type of players (def dman, offensive dman, off forwards, def forwards, goaltenders) if you want rates revised, specify exactly what rate should be revised (ex.: DF, SC, etc..) and why.  you have until June 30th to do this, after this, Rates won't change until season 17-18.

Do NOT make extension contract offers to your players before July 1st.

- You can still buy out players at preferential rates (33% / 66% - see league’s rules) till June 30th, Send us a email. Other months of the year buyout rate is 100%.  Buyouts count toward salary cap.

Salary cap for next season is still not determined, should be around $74 M, we should have a specific amount on this by July 1st.

Note: careful with you contract offers. Signing bonus will count toward your salary cap. Too many No Trade clauses can tie your hands (Player might accepted to traded after half of the season to specific teams only). You are responsible for all the years on the contract even if a player retires or leave for another league.

Before July 1st

- No Signature, No Trade.

JULY 1st

- Trades re open July 1st (Thursday evening midnight ET). Until the draft, you can trade all picks in the next 2 years, after the draft we fall back to the other rule.

- UFA/RFA market and contract extensions open July 1st (Thursday evening midnight ET)

So if you wait until Friday evening midnight before placing bids on the players you want, it might be too late already, every year, all good UFAs/RFAs get offer at midnight when it opens.

Remember, all contracts of 1.5$ mil + per season, players can't be sent to the minors, NHL only.

Maximum amount of players: 25 in Pro, 30 in AHL

If you make an offer to a RFA, you need to have the picks accordingly to the chart as a compensation in case his former team does not match your offer.

NOTE : Team owning RFA players (who are testing the market on July 1st) can NOT trade them unless they match the offers these players will receive. You can NOT make offers to your own RFAs until July 15th. After July 18th, all RFAs who haven't received an offer will become UFA.

The trade committee is there to protect GMs and their team so they don't destroy their future and /or giving valued assets for doubtful prospects/picks/career Ahlers..etc

EXPENSION DRAFT

The NHL will announce next Wednesday that Las Vegas will join the NHL. If the new team joins the league in 2017-18, we'll have an expension draft at the end of next season after the playoffs, BEFORE THE TRADE SESSION, which means the players you'll have in your team at the trade deadline will be the players available for the Las vegas team to draft from.

The new team will pick 2 elements (players and/or prospects) per team for a total of 60 elements.
You will have the choice between 3 different type of player protection lists for your team.

1- protect 5 forwards, 3 d-men, 1 goaltenders and 3 prospects .
Note: A team can not lose more than 1 player by position (forward, dman, goaltender and prospect).

2- protect 9 skaters and 2 prospects.
Note: A team might lose more than one player by position (forward, dman, goaltender and prospect).

3- protect 7 skaters and 7 prospects
Note: A team might lose more than one player by position (forward, dman, goaltender and prospect).

So if Vegas joins the league in 17-18, you'll have the entire year until the trade deadline to select one of these type of players protection and trade accordingly.  Think about it and... be smart!

* skaters include goaltenders

-----------------------
We now expect you guys to be back full time, now we are back in business, reply to ALL MESSAGES within 48 hours! Non active GMs will be replaced.

You don't have to put your everyday email address in the sim client, but make sure I do have it in case we need to reach you. If we just can't contact you, even during summer time, we might just lose your team (it happened again this year).

- concerning coaches, you 'll receive another email shortly

Would be a good idea to over the league's rules again...

Too much stuff to remember for this email, I probably forgot something, so you can expect more emails ;-)

Email me now with any questions you may have,

Hi all,

Some teams still haven't claimed some of their prospects in the UFA/Unassigned, if you don't it, they will become available on July 1st for all GMs to bid on, so act now!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Free agency starts July 1st, so Thursday evening at midnight ET.  You can start bidding on UFAs and RFAs, do your homework now to find the hidden gems.  All contracts $1.5M and over will play in the NHL, can't be sent to the minors.  Salary cap is $73 M, floor's at $54M, you must comply to this by the first day of the regular season.

UFA (Transactions/unrestricted free agents) and RFA (Transactions/ Restricted Free Agents)players (scroll to the bottom to see goaltenders).
All players that will receive bid(s) between Thursday night midnight and Friday night 11pm,  will stay an extra 24 hours on free agency to receive more offers (for a total of 47-48 hours), all players receiving bids after Friday night 11PM will only be on the market for 24 hours total. So it gives everybody, at least 47-48 hours to bid on any player starting Thursday night midnight. After bid are closed on a specific player, portal picks the best 3 offers, 24 hours later, he ll pick a winner (best offer 60%, 2nd best offer 30%, 3rd best offer 10% chances of winning the bid)  You can not make offers to more than 18 players at the same time.
RFAs
If you make an offer to a RFA, you need to have the picks accordingly to the chart as a compensation in case his former team does not match your offer.

AVERAGE ANNUAL VALUE COMPENSATION
Less than $1,205,377 Nothing
$1,205,377-to-$1,826,328 Third-round pick
$1,826,328-to-$3,652,659 Second-round pick
$3,652,659-to-$5,478,986 First and third-round picks
$5,478,986-to-$7,305,316 First, second and third-round picks
$7,305,316-to-$9,131,645 Two firsts, a second and third-round picks
$9,131,645 or greater Four first-round picks

so for example, if you make an offer of $4 million per season to a RFA, you will need one 1st round pick and one 3rd pick in the next 2 draft years. The team owning the player will have 2 (two) days to match the offer. The team acquiring the player will decide what picks are being sent to the other team in case they have several picks available in a specific round.

NOTE : Team owning RFA players (who are testing the market on July 1st) can NOT trade them unless they match the offers these players will receive. You can NOT make offers to your own RFAs until July 15th. After July 18th, all RFAs who haven't received an offer will become UFA.
Matt did correct the amount your own pending UFAs/RFAs players are asking to sign back with you guys, what you see is what you get now, % might change, but basic salary asked is the right one.  Years after years, salary cap is rising, so is the players demands.
System is done in a way so you can usually sign your RFAs back and for the UFAs to hit free agency, unless you get lucky, you ll have to pay big bucks to keep them of they'll leave. Once a UFA rejects all 3 offers, he'll hit free agency no matter what happens next.  He can be traded, but won't sign with his new team (even if portal would let you do so, it would be canceled). so you might consider trading a UFA who rejected your offers twice while he still has a big value on the market.

bonus signatures count toward salary cap, you can only ask a player to waive a no trade clause after the first half of the season. Players will ask for more $ if you wait after the regular season to offer them a contract.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Trades also open back Thursday evening midnight ET.

buy out will be back at a 100% rate starting July 1st, act now if you need to do more buyouts.  Same with Rate review, you have until July 1st to submit your player(s).

Guys if you have questions ask now! dont wait, you can also ask your questions directly on the portal

position change, you can send requests at any time of the season.

Hi all!
First, please welcome our new Montreal Canadien GM, Mike Cooley!

Trades, Contract extension offers, buyouts starts this Friday midnight ET.
Please read the league rules for all the details about the buyouts, but remember, June is the only month of the year where you can buyout players for less than 100% of their contract`s value. All buyouts goes on this year salary cap (2017-18).
You can send players position changes at anytime by emailing me or using the form on the portal, send link with your request (see rules for this as well).
Teams under the supervision of the trade committee (trades need to be approved): Carolina, Montreal, Vegas, Ottawa, Vancouver.
Hundreds of players will be UFA/RFA at the end of this year (2017-18) so they are playing the last year of their contract this year, pay attention to this when trading as UFAs will be way harder to sign from now on.

CONTRACT EXTENSIONS
After reviewing pretty much all the salaries while creating Simnet2, it obvious salaries in our league are not following the same inflation as the NHL does... and we are not getting a lot of quality players on free agency. In order to fix this we have changed the way players agents are dealing contract extension offers, players will cost more and will test free agency market.  That will fix the 2 problems mentioned above and prevent from having teams loaded with superstars... so 3 birds with one stone!

Here`s how it works;
Reasonable offers to a free agent would give you about 60 to 70% chances of signing him, you can't really low ball a player anymore, if you offer less than 100% of his demands, you'll see this % drop dramatically.  If a player rejects an offer, you % drop by 10%.
For example;
Malkin is UFA, offering him a contract of $7.3 M per season for 3 year gives a resigning odds % of 70.  If he rejects it when you'll make your second offer, for the exact same offer you would get a resigning odds % of only 60.  If he rejects again, it drops another 10%.
So for players you really really want to keep, make a STRONG FIRST offer.

You can also use Signing bonus (goes toward salary cap) and no trade clause options to raise your %, but by experience, let me tell you to go easy with the no trade clauses, having too many players with NTC can tie your hands for years.

You have 3 chances of signing a free agent, if you use all the 3 attempts and fail, that player will automatically become a free agent at the end of the year, he can be traded to another team but that team wont be able to sign him, he would be used for a cup run only.  If you trade him before you used all 3 attempts, the team acquiring him will have 2 chances of signing him.

Contact me or Paul with any questions you may have!

RFA - same process but resigning odds % are higher

Hi all!
Let`s get ready for Season 9!

New Rates Are On The Portal!

As explained several times, OV doesn't mean much as it's based on a formula that change for different type of players (def dman, offensive dman, off forwards, def forwards, goaltenders).  if you want rates revised, specify exactly what rate should be revised (ex.: DF, SC, etc..) and why. Of course some mistakes will be obvious, especially for players with long term injuries last year, just report them. You have until June 2nd to do this, after that date, rates won't change until next season.

- Do NOT make extension contract offers to your own pending free agent players before June 3rd.
- Trades start on June 3rd.

- You can still buy out players at preferential rates (33% / 66% - see league’s rules) from June 3rd to June 30th, Send us a email. Other months of the year buyout rate is 100%.  Buyouts count toward salary cap.

Salary cap for next season is still not determined, should be around $83 M, we should have a specific amount on this by July 1st.

Note: careful with you contract offers. Signing bonus will count toward your salary cap. Too many No Trade clauses can tie your hands (Player might accepted to traded after half of the season to specific teams only). You are responsible for all the years on the contract even if a player retires or leave for another league.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO NOW !!!

1 -   Go over the unrestricted players list (Transactions/Unrestricted Free Agents) and MAKE SURE ONE OR MORE OF YOUR PLAYER(S) ARE NOT IN THE LIST, if it’s the case, report it.

2-   Go over the unrestricted players list (Transactions/Unrestricted Free Agents) and look for your prospects and claim them, IF YOU DON’T YOU MIGHT LOSE HIM/THEM, it’s your responsibility. After claiming them, you can ask the league (or not) to deactivate those who haven’t played 10 NHL games last year and leave them as prospects. For more details if you don't claim one of your player and somebody else signs him go check the league`s rules.

This above is REALLY IMPORTANT, if you don’t do it you might lose some players and even your team.

Reply to this email to report your players and any errors you might see!!!

 ==============================
JULY 1st

- UFAs/RFAs market open July 1st ( midnight ET)

UFA (Transactions/unrestricted free agents) and RFA (Transactions/ Restricted Free Agents)players (scroll to the bottom to see goaltenders).

When you check UFAs and RFAs after free agency has started (July 1st), its possible certain players already got an offer, click the second tab (UFAs/RFAs with Offers) 24 hours after the first offer made to a player, you won't be allowed to make an offer so act fast, the player will select the best 3 offers and move to the deciding section (3rd tab) for another 24 hours. Portal will select between offers, 60% for the best offer, 30% for the second one and 10% for the least best offer. So if you wait too long before placing bids on the players you want, it might be too late already, every year, all good UFAs/RFAs get offer at midnight when it opens.

Remember, all contracts of 1.5$ mil + per season, players can't be sent to the minors, NHL only.

Maximum amount of players: 25 in Pro, 30 in AHL. That means if you are over the cap with 25 NHL players you have to send down a few players to the AHL, but you re still not allowed to have more than 30 players in the NHL, so if you have cap issues, you maximum of players allowed could be as low as 20 NHL - 30 AHL, keep that in mind!

If you make an offer to a RFA, you need to have the picks accordingly to the chart as a compensation in case his former team does not match your offer.

* the following chart is not updated, we have to wait for the NHL numbers later on in June.

AVERAGE ANNUAL VALUE COMPENSATION
Less than $1,205,377 Nothing
$1,205,377-to-$1,826,328 Third-round pick
$1,826,328-to-$3,652,659 Second-round pick
$3,652,659-to-$5,478,986 First and third-round picks
$5,478,986-to-$7,305,316 First, second and third-round picks
$7,305,316-to-$9,131,645 Two firsts, a second and third-round picks
$9,131,645 or greater Four first-round picks

so for example, if you make an offer of $4 million per season to a RFA, you will need one 1st round pick and one 3rd pick in the next 2 draft years. The team owning the player will have 2 (two) days to match the offer. The team acquiring the player will decide what picks are being sent to the other team in case they have several picks available in a specific round.

NOTE : Team owning RFA players (who are testing the market on July 1st) can NOT trade them unless they match the offers these players will receive. You can NOT make offers to your own RFAs until July 15th. After July 18th, all RFAs who haven't received an offer will become UFA.

Remember, if you acquire a UFA player via a transaction, you'll only have 2 attempts to sign him, not 3. If a player is on his last contract year and rejects all the offers, he becomes automatically UFA on July 1st 2017. He can still be traded but his new team won't be allowed to sign him even if the portal gives you the option to do so. He becomes a rental for the playoffs. UFA rights can not be traded after the trade deadline.

- You can still buy out contracts but at a full rate (100%) until the trade deadline.

- You can submit position change by emailing me with the link where we can see the player assigned at that position (it has to be one of the link we have in the league's rules).

----------------

Get ready for the draft and pre-season, remember you need enough players; goaltenders, RW, LW, C and D to form 2 teams... so make sure you have enough players for each positions. You can't build a team with players rated under 20, they can be used as spares when you have too many injuries but it should be exceptional. Strongly  suggest you have at least 5 goaltenders. If you only have 4, and simming is blocked because one of them is injured and you only have 3, you'll be fined as explained in the rules.

Salary cap is expect to be around $83M next season, during the off season, there`s no limit . You will also need to be over the salary floor by the beginning of the season which should be around $63M.

Remember buy outs and bonus signatures count toward your salary cap.

Draft
Monday July 29th - 7 PM ET - Rounds 1 and 2
Tuesday July 30th - 7 PM ET - Rounds 3-4-5.
